United Way and Franklin County Kids Need You!

Hello friends and United Way Supporters!  United Way invites you to help hundreds of Franklin County kids in need as they prepare for the school year!  
When: August 5th – August 13th.

What: The United Way/Wal-Mart Fill the Bus Initiative  

How you Can Help:  We are asking you to volunteer for a two hour shift in order help pass out school supply lists to Wal-Mart shoppers. The goal is to “Fill the Bus” with all of the things our community’s most vulnerable will need this school year (school supplies, clothing, healthy snack foods, shoes, coats, hygiene products and other necessary items). NOTE: All of the items donated during Fill the Bus will be distributed to youth in Franklin County by United Way Member Agencies: ECKAN and Communities in Schools of Ottawa .

The 2016 Sumo Event Raised $14,000!

This week was National Volunteer Week! Therefore, United Way would like to send out a big, big, BIG thank you to the many, many volunteers who made the Sumo Wrestling Invitational a HUGE success.

HAPPY VOLUNTEER WEEK!
