The United Way of Franklin County is the leadership and support organization for a network of 18 member agencies. In addition to serving the local community by acting as the central fundraising and volunteer recruitment resource for nonprofit agencies that make a difference in people’s lives… Our Mission is to identify and effectively address community needs by mobilizing businesses, organizations, and individuals.
By mobilizing the caring power of community members like you, United Way and our member agencies work together to promote healthy lifestyles, improve local education at all levels and help people achieve financial stability. United Way of Franklin County’s member agencies include the American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters, CASA, Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation of Kansas, Children’s Mercy Hospital, Communities in Schools, ECKAAA (Meals on Wheels), ECKAN, Elizabeth Layton Center, Habitat for Humanity, Hope House, LifeCare Center for Women, Midland Care Hospice, tiny-k Early Intervention, Ottawa Community Arts Council’s OYAA youth programs, Ottawa Recreation Foundation- Summer Camp and after school programs, The Willow Domestic Violence Center and The Sexual Trauma & Abuse Care Center.
